Our teaching is grounded in the belief that science plays a crucial role in society. It not only creates and advances knowledge but also prepares students to navigate an increasingly complex and fast-changing world. In a time marked by misinformation, populism, and global challenges, we aim to foster a learning environment where students develop the ability to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate constructively, and approach problems with creativity (the 4Cs). We encourage students to question assumptions, engage thoughtfully with evidence, express ideas clearly, and work with others to generate innovative and practical solutions. We are committed to inclusive teaching practices that support all students, taking into account diverse learning styles, backgrounds, disabilities, neurodiversity, and prior experiences. Through our passion for science, active learning approaches, and real-world examples drawn from the latest research, we strive to help students take ownership of their learning. Below are the modules that Manon has led and taught, with contributions from various members of our lab to several additional modules.
